14-Story Affordable Housing Project Breaks Ground At 1921 Atlantic Avenue In Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn

Construction has broken ground at 1921 Atlantic Avenue, a new 144-foot-tall affordable housing project in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by GF55 Partners, the 14-story residential building will yield 264,520 square feet, with residential amenity spaces, a community center, and a ground-floor supermarket in addition to the 235 units.

Located between Prescott Place and Bancroft Place, the site is part of the New York State Brownfield Clean Program. Involved in the development of the project is the Department of Housing Preservation and DevelopmentHousing Development Corporation, Dabar Development Partners, and Thorobird Companies. Factor Group is handling excavation with Monadnock Construction on the construction front.
